Northwestern has 18 competitive sports teams! You don’t have to be an NCAA athlete in order to participate in athletics at Northwestern—there are many opportunities for students to get involved in intramural sports every season.
Part of Northwestern’s mission is to develop God-honoring leaders. Getting involved with Student Government is one way students can effectively use their gifts to actively serve the student body.

Learning Outside the Classroom
God has taught me SO much through my involvement with the softball program here. I have had some amazing fellowship with girls that have become very close friends to me, and I have learned aspects of responsibility, hard work, and dependence on God that I may not have learned anywhere else.
