Theatre Arts

Northwestern College TheatreWelcome to the exciting world of Theatre Arts at Northwestern College.

You don't have to be a theatre major or minor to participate in any aspect of our department. Auditions are open to all students!

We invite all students to make their mark on the scene here at Northwestern. Whether you've starred in every musical at your high school, or never even attended a play in your life, we'll find a place for you!

Students studying theatre arts are given an opportunity to participate in acting, set design, lighting, and other phases of theatre. And auditions are open to all students, no matter what your major!

Four mainstage shows and a one-act festival are presented throughout the year. Check the Theatre Season for more information. Get a copy of the Backstage Pass to learn more about the department. Meet our fantastic faculty and staff and check out the degree requirements to see the exciting classes offered to theatre majors and minors and folks who just want to learn more about the craft.

Stop by and introduce yourself —don't be shy! As the playwright George Bernard Shaw said,

"Life isn't about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself."

Come and see what you can create with us in the Northwestern College Theatre Department!
