Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Begin the financial Aid process each year by going to FAFSA.gov  and completing your FAFSA application to calculate your financial need for college. The FAFSA is the application used to applying for federal, state, and Northwestern College financial aid.

How to Submit Forms

Send completed forms to the NWC Financial Aid Office via:

Verification Worksheets

If your FAFSA is slected for verification you will need to complete only 1 of the 5 (V1-V5) Verification Worksheets below. 

To avoid delays please submit the correct (V1-V5) Verification Worksheet requested of you.  If uncertain, you can find your Verification Worksheet number by logging on to theROCK,  selecting the Finances tab, and viewing your Financial Aid Requirements.

Parental & Student Appeal Forms

The Department of Education gives us limited authority to make adjustments to a student's eligibility when circumstances arise that are out of the control of the parent/student. If a parent/student feels that they have an appealable situation, this form should be completed and returned to the Financial Aid Office.

Off-Campus Studies Application

If you are interested in applying for financial aid for a period of time in which you will be studying off-campus, you must complete this application. You must also complete the regular application process for financial aid at Northwestern. Summer studies are considered at the end of a school year. Submission of this form does not guarantee assistance is available. This form is for students seeking a day-school degree.

International Student Financial Assistance Application

This form is the application for International Students to receive financial assistance to attend Northwestern College. Funds are awarded on the basis of financial need. This form is for students seeking a traditional undergraduate degree who are not resident aliens.

Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan Application

Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) are non-need based low-interest loans specifically for parents to help pay for the cost of their dependent student's education. Parents who believe they will not qualify for the PLUS loan should contact the Financial Aid office for alternative options.
