Northwestern Music Tours

ENSEMBLE TOURS

Tours provide students with a unique opportunity to know and celebrate the mission and outreach of Northwestern College outside its walls creating cross-cultural experiences which can be transformational musically, socially and spiritually. 

• Varsity Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorale and top piano students go on local tours each year.
• Symphonic Band, Orchestra, and College Choir tour annually on a four-year rotation of local, regional, domestic (U.S.), and international destinations. Recent international destinations include: Australia (Symphonic Band); Estonia, Latvia, Finland (College Choir); France and Switzerland (Orchestra) and more exciting tours are being planned for the coming years.

The college underwrites much of the cost of each tour, but each student is responsible for an additional amount, which varies depending on the length and location of each tour. There are multiple fund-raising opportunities with each tour, and many students can eliminate some or most of their tour costs by participating in fund raising.

Julie Johnson is the Department of Music Tour Manager, and she would love to hear from churches or schools interested in a visit from one of our excellent performance ensembles.
