The Criminal Justice program is now POST Certified (Police Officer Standards and Training) after receiving provisional approval by the board this past April. Students who complete coursework through Northwestern College are now approved for the academic component of the Professional Peace Officer Education (PPOE). This field needs Christians. It needs light brought into the many dark places, and Northwestern enables all students to do just that. – Caleb Davis ’13 Learn from the expertsTake classes from experienced professors who are former or current practioners, which gives you the opportunity to build professional contacts and explore areas of interest in criminal justice. Beyond the classroom, criminal justice students will be able to intern at a number of prestigious and well-known organizations. The criminal justice internship class collaborates with federal, state, county and local agencies to provide hands-on training and experience.
