  • CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT PROGRESS
As NWC's successful three-year Concurrent Enrollment pilot project ended this year, course offerings had risen from two classes in spring 2009 to 20 in spring 2011. In addition, the college is working to bring its program into compliance with a new state statute designed to make all seven community colleges' practices more uniform.
  • ROUNDING UP AG PRODUCERS
NWC's Spring Roundup 2011 in January drew more than 100 ag producers for a two-day conference about honing business skills to succeed in a changing world. The lineup of presenters featured well-known speakers, high-interest information sessions and international entertainer Red Steagall.
  • BOOSTING DEGREE COMPLETION BY 2020
A late spring public forum focused on the future of education in Wyoming and how to reach President Obama's goal of attaining 150 percent post-secondary educational degree completion by 2020. Hosted by the NWC Board of Trustees and presented by Trustee Rick LaPlante of Powell, the forum was a springboard to a daylong summit planned this fall.
