The Academy of Music is a music program sponsored by the music department of Northwestern College. The Academy provides private and group music lessons in a Christian environment taught by Northwestern College students, graduates and faculty for all ages.

Come and join us for a free evening of music, fun and imagination! Children of all ages are allowed to explore the combined worlds of music and Peter and the Wolf through arts, crafts, and an Instrumental “Petting Zoo” hosted by the Academy of Music. Families can enjoy refreshments as children touch and play real instruments of the orchestra. The classic tale of Peter and the Wolf will come alive as the Northwestern College Orchestra finishes the evening with a Children’s Concert narrated by faculty member Doreen Hutchings.

The Northwestern College Academy of Music is a comprehensive music program of private instruction, recitals, chamber music and other music ensemble experiences designed to accommodate the growing needs for the community at large.

Our goal is to provide a supportive and enriching learning environment in which each student can develop a greater understanding and appreciation of music to the glory of God.

Our Purpose
The Academy is committed to providing quality music instruction by highly qualified faculty and trained music students from Northwestern College.
