Intercultural Orientation is held two days prior to the general New Student Orientation. It is for students who are not from the majority U.S. culture—students of color, international students, and the children of missionaries.

New students meet new friends, learn about the college culture, and the programs and people that will help them succeed at Northwestern. New students are matched with a student mentor who will assist them in adjusting to life in college.

Intercultural Orientation is offered as a service to students who may find the transition from their home culture to Northwestern College a challenge. Attending these sessions is highly recommended by students who have previously attended, many of whom become the mentors for other new students.
