Why do you like Northwestern?
I have been looking forward to college since 5th grade and Northwestern has met all my expectations of what a college should be. You live life here and it feels like home. I know that I am going to be taken care of and taught well. It’s AMAZING!

Favorite Place on Campus?
I have two places: the bridge that connects the island and Northwestern’s campus and Naz Chapel. I love the bridge because it is so beautiful and has a great view of the lake and is located on a beautiful part of campus. Nazareth Chapel is breathtaking and majestic. You can feel the Holy Spirit in that sanctuary and it’s a wonderful place to pray and reflect on Christ.

Favorite Twin Cities location outside NWC?
Grand Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Which residence hall do you live in?
I live in Hartill and this is a great community of girls. I love Hartill Cookie Night and Nostalgia Night, which is where each hall in Hartill makes up a dance to an older song and performs it for the entire student body. It’s great!

Favorite classes?
Psychology of Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. I learned not only about the people that I am going to help and how I am going to help them, but I acquired a better understanding of myself and God.

Favorite professor?
Psychology professor Dr. Joseph Hansen. He is so intelligent and so gracious and humble about how smart he is. I learned about things in his class that I can apply to my life. He has an incredible passion for Christ and the well being of his students. It has been an honor to be one of his students.

How has your relationship with the Lord changed since you’ve been at NWC?
It has acquired a depth that I never knew possible. God is not just someone who is studied but a Being that gives incredible unconditional love. I have a better understand of this love and this has allowed me to grow more intimate with Christ.

Plans after graduation?
I plan to go to graduate school and receive a master’s degree in either marriage and family counseling or psychology.
