POWELL, Wyo. - Northwest Gallery in Powell will end the season with the “Juried Student Art and Design Exhibit” opening Tuesday, April 19, with a 7:30 p.m. artists' reception.

The exhibit features two- and three-dimensional works in a variety of media created by Northwest College students in their graphic design and studio art classes during the 2010-11 academic year.

The Northwest College Board of Trustees traditionally purchases works from the show for the college's permanent collection. Purchase award winners are announced at the opening reception.

Submissions to the 2011 show were juried by Jane Deschner. The purchase award winners were selected by Christine Brindza, acting curator for the Whitney Gallery of Western Art at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.
