P O W E L L, W y o. - Small business owners who'd like to explore ways to use the Internet to increase marketing power are invited to a Wednesday, Feb. 21, presentation titled "The E-commerce Advantage - Your Business Needs It."

Led by Scott Richard, the noncredit offering meets from 6-8 p.m. in the Center for Training and Development on Northwest College's West Campus.

"Many small-business owners don't know how to use the Internet to increase their marketing power, reduce costs and do more things at once, so they're not using it to their advantage," Richard said. "Proper use of multimedia and an Internet presence can give even the smallest business the ability to compete with larger companies."

Richard will guide participants through a discussion of how the Internet works and talk about how to get a business online, handle e-commerce shopping, write for optimum search engine ranking, manage content and get the best deal when working with Web development companies.

Richard is the owner of Richbank Studios, an experienced multimedia company. His presentation is sponsored by the Northwest College Center for Training and Development (formerly Workforce Development).

The cost to attend his presentation is $25.
