POWELL, Wyo. - The Northwest College Studio Singers present their annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in the Nelson Performing Arts Center Auditorium.

Directed by Craig Olson, the group offers a variety of numbers featuring vocal and instrumental soloists.

Included on the playlist is “Don’t Explain,” arranged by Kerry Marsh and featuring Rachel Shreve of Basin on vocals, Keller Paulson of Casper on drums and Nick Pierson of Powell on flugal horn. “Don’t Blame Me,” arranged by Larry Lapin, spotlights Monte Nickles of Powell on trumpet and Kate Vincent of Laramie on saxophone.

The rhythm section joins Nickles and Vincent on a Greg Yasinitsky arrangement titled “This Can’t Be Love,” then brings in Loy Andrus of Cody to add another layer of vocal flavors on “Never Give Up.”

Along with individual selections by several singers, a featured performance by the rhythm section and some piano accompaniment by NWC President Paul Prestwich, the groove continues with “Baby You Can Drive My Car” by the Beatles.

Olson invites the community to enjoy an evening of good music and performances with the Studio Singers.

Admission to the concert is free.
