Trainings in QuickBooks and Word coming up in November

POWELL, Wyo. - Basic QuickBooks and advanced Word techniques are just two of the software trainings offered this month by the Northwest College Center for Training and Development in Powell.

Jan Kraft, a certified management accountant and member of the NWC business faculty, teaches QuickBooks Basics from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12 and 19. She’ll cover getting started, understanding accounting, handling everyday and special transactions and working with reports. She’ll also share tips and tricks to make the software work for the user. Some prior exposure to QuickBooks is helpful.

Cost is $135 and includes a comprehensive manual. Advance registration must be completed by Wednesday, Nov. 10.

Duncan Bonine teaches Word 2007 – Tips, Tricks, and Techniques from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. He promises students will improve their productivity tenfold by learning a multitude of practical, real-world computer skills. This class is not for beginners.

Cost is $25 and includes supplies.
