P O W E L L, W y o. - Lively sports action and good food - doesn't get any better than that for Northwest College Trapper Boosters and they're inviting others to join them in the fun at two booster events coming up Saturday, Jan. 26, and Friday, Feb. 1.

The first is a Trapper Overtime following the NWC Wrestling Team's two-day Apodaca Dual Showdown in Cabre Gym. The dual tournament begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, and again at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.

The Overtime action starts at 6 p.m., Saturday, in the DeWitt Student Center Lounge. Trapper fans can rehash a few of the close matches with coach Jim Zeigler and his wrestlers, connect with other fans and take care of those sports-induced munchies at a full buffet of hot hors d'oeuvres.

Tailgating comes to Powell's college sports scene Friday, Feb. 1, when the Cabre Gym Lobby will be filled with all the things that make for a good tailgating party - hot dogs, chips, cookies, soft drinks, friendly faces and lots of basketball enthusiasm. The party runs from 5:30-7 p.m.; food plates cost $3 apiece.

Tip-off time is 6 p.m. for the Lady Trappers and 8 p.m. for the men's team. Their common nemeses for the evening are the T-Birds from Casper College.

Fans who can't make it to the games can still catch the live action on NWC-TV, channel 21 in Powell and channel 39 in Meeteetse and Big Horn and Washakie counties. Click here for live webcasts of the basketball battles.
