POWELL, Wyoming — Worland-area residents have two chances in November to update their computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel classes offered at the Northwest College Center for Training and Development.

Kaitlyn Miller will teach Word 2013 Basics from 6-9:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday evenings, Nov. 2 and 3.

Students will learn how to navigate documents and use the program’s help system before  learning to enter and edit text, create and save documents, and enhance the appearance of a document with various formatting options. They’ll also create tables, insert headers and footers, proof and print documents, and insert graphics.

KayLynn Dalebout will teach an Excel 2013 Basics class from 6-9:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 10 and 12.

She’ll show students how to set up Excel to meet their personal needs at work or home, and how to customize its many features. Emphasis is given to designing and organizing the best possible worksheet before entering and editing data, mastering formulas and functions.

The Word and Excel classes each cost $99, which includes a comprehensive manual.
