Understanding Title IX and Sexual Misconduct

Title IX is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally-funded education program or activity. If schools participate in federal student aid programs, they must comply with the Violence Against Women Act/Clery Act and Title IX

Northwest College is committed to provide an environment free of discrimination on the basis of sex, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, stalking, dating/domestic violence, and other acts of sexual misconduct.

When such incidents do happen at Northwest College, it is important for students, parents, faculty, staff, and the community to understand how such reports are handled.
