David Wiesjahn*

David Wiesjahn is a McNally Smith College of Music graduate with a degree in drum set performance. David started playing the drums at age 12 and continued to learn throughout his high school years while playing on the drum line of the marching band and taking private lessons. At McNally Smith he studied under excellent teachers such as Marv Dahlgren (Minnesota Orchestra), Gordy Knudtson (Steve Miller Band), and Dave Stanoch (author of Mastering the Tables of Time). During this time he also gained more professional experience playing in various house bands in the St. Paul area. After college, he studied under Steve Goold, whom he deems to be his most influential instructor. Currently, David is serving local churches on their worship teams, which include Hosanna Lutheran, Eagle Brook Church, Woodland Hills, New Hope Church, and Horizon Community Church. David sees the opportunity to play music as one of life's most fulfilling gifts and desires to pass on the passion for excellence in the craft of drumming that has been imparted to him through all of his experience and teaching.
