Before coming to Northwestern in 2004 Dr. Hutchcraft served as a pastor in various churches in the Upper Midwest. Since coming to Northwestern Professor Hutchcraft has taught primarily in the biblical & theological studies department in the day school. He also has taught for the communication department, teaching such classes as "Foundations of Communication" and "Global Communications and International Relationships." He is a regular instructor for Northwestern College's graduate programs—both in the Master of Organizational Leadership program and Master of Arts in Theological Studies program.
