 | Micah | Class of 2012 Hometown: Punta Gorda, Florida Major: International Business (Chinese minor) Involvements: Football and Choir |
Why did you choose Northwestern?
I wanted to find a Christian college with football, international business and Chinese. I also wanted a find a school with a good church close by.
How did you decide on your major?
Through my love for languages in general and my college studies in French, I learned that Chinese is in demand in the business world. That opened up my interest in international business and Chinese.
Why do you think Northwestern is a good place to study business?
Many of the business professors are not just knowledgeable about business, but are also passionate about it. They don’t just give you a textbook and go through the textbook. They give you their own knowledge and experience, which is very helpful.
Favorite business class?
I do really enjoy Economics. I feel that it is not only interesting, but it forces you to think about the world differently.
What do you value most about the business department?
I value that Christ affects how the business department looks at business. The business department has a healthy view of the world’s sinfulness and big view of God. That really affects how you view business and will only make that view better.
