Robert Elfstrum

Associate Professor of Business

Elfstrum has a wealth of experience in the financial arena. He has held positions as professional accountant (Stophel, Caldwell & Heggie Attorneys), professor of accounting and business (Tennessee Temple University), accountant (Joseph K. Decosimo & Co.), and senior accountant/auditor (Touche Ross & Company). He has been certified as a CPA in the states of California, Tennessee, and Minnesota. He is also involved in the Minnesota Society of CPAs and the Christian Management Association. He has taught at Northwestern College since 1982.

Regarding teaching, Elfstrum states, “I love teaching. It's a way to help young Christian people do well in business. You earn the right to speak of Christ by doing a good job.”

Elfstrum has been married for 30 years and has two sons who have graduated from Northwestern.
