Prior to coming to Northwestern, Lara Bronson taught kindergarten in the public schools in the all-day, every day and half-day programs. She has served on numerous teams and committees, including representing Kindergarten in helping select the math curriculum for her school district.

Bronson was involved in the implementation of the MN Reading First initiative and received extensive training and professional development in literacy. She then presented at the MN Reading First Institute on interactive writing, sharing how the research had positively impacted her teaching practices. Additional professional development for Mrs. Bronson include training in: Gifted and Talented Education, Early Intervention Reading, Six Traits Writing, PALS, and Responsive Classroom.
