Academy of Music offers new fall courses

August 1—The Northwestern Academy of Music is excited to offer four new and exciting programs to its fall course list! Registration for these, and all other fall courses, is now open and available online.

Kinderstudio of Musik
The Musikgarten Curriculum is a unique program of musical learning and enjoyment for children from 0–9 years of age, with developmentally appropriate materials in a multi-age setting. There will be three classes held on Saturday mornings starting this Fall 2011.

Percussion Ensemble
The Percussion Ensemble will begin this Fall 2011, challenging percussionists to different types of percussion repertoire and instruments while also giving them fun performance and ensemble experience.

Resounding Praise Teen Choir
The Resounding Praise Teen Choir will be offered this Fall 2011 for the older vocal student (ages 14–18). The choir will sing repertoire in a vareity of styles and languages, secular and sacred.

Rock N’ Blues
The Rock N' Blues class will start up this Fall 2011 for all students wishing to learn how to play rock and blues music in an ensemble setting. All aspects of rock and blues, from basic chords to blue improvisation, will be covered within the context of the rock and roll greats.

The Academy of Music is a music program sponsored by the Northwestern College Department of Music. The Academy provides private lessons, group music lessons and ensembles for all ages in a Christian environment taught by Northwestern College students, graduates and faculty.
