Life. Leadership. Relationship.LIFEWe are on a quest together to live the abundant life that Jesus came to give. We will not be satisfied with anything less. Many people are simply existing, going from one event to another, following routines and rituals but without really living. God is calling us to more ... to encounter Him in such a way that we are captured by His love and become fully alive. The abundant life is found in Christ alone. Jesus said, in John 4, "Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." The One who gives this living water is Himself the Living Water. He is our true Life Source. When we become born again, we are connected to this wellspring of eternal life so that we may drink of Him, the Living Water. Our walk with Christ is not only a WWJD kind of walk, as if Jesus is only someone to follow or model after; instead, it's also a WIJD walk ... What Is Jesus Doing? What is He doing right now through me? If we are truly abiding in Christ, we will automatically and naturally overflow the fruit of Christ, the fruit of the Spirit. We will automatically experience and produce love, joy and peace. We won't feel a need to try to manufacture it out of duty or obligation. Let us abide fully in Christ, and drink from the Living Water. LEADERSHIPWe believe that leadership is essentially the process of influencing people or circumstances. Every person leads in some way or another. Every human being, whether saved or not, possesses built in leadership potential and abilities that are a part of being created in the image of God. These natural gifts can be seen demonstrated in all walks of life. Christ is the ultimate leader, possessing every leadership skill and ability. As we abide in Him, the Life He gives us includes His leadership. We believe that Life in Him and leadership are inseparable. Those who are fully alive in Christ can't help but lead and influence others, because of Christ's leadership and influence. Leaders who are abiding in Christ will exhibit the humility of Christ. This is the kind of leader we are seeking to become. RELATIONSHIPOur walk with Christ is with one another. We are all members of the body of Christ. "... In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (Romans 12). As we pursue Christ together, not only can we help one another, we need one another (1 Corinthians 12). Our unity as a community is imperative. By the grace of God, we will foster unity and oneness as a campus community. |
