How will this prepare me for a professional writing career?
You’ll receive personal mentoring from an academic advisor who will help recognize your strengths and guide and encourage you to pursue your goals. To help develop your skills, you will be able to participate in at least two workshops and professional experiences.
Every class you take will contribute to your overall skills by allowing you to practice professional writing in each class.
The major also allows you to accumulate your polished writing samples in a professional portfolio so that you'll be ready to present your professional writing skills at any interview you go to!
