Multicultural Student Orientation is held two days prior to the general New Student Orientation. It is for students who are not from the majority U.S. culture—students of color and students who have grown up outside of the U.S., such as the children of missionaries.
The orientation provides students and their families with tools to assist them in adjusting to college life and cultural transition, resources for academic success, as well as the opportunity to meet other students and begin the process of making new friends. New students are also matched with a student mentor who will assist them in adjusting to life in college.
