Join us in beautiful Cody, Wyoming for an exciting offering of our AWLS curriculum! In partnership with Hellroaring Medical Consultants, AWLS is finally coming to Cody!
After class, explore the beautiful South Fork Valley, or make the quick drive over to Yellowstone National Park’s east entrance. Cody is a classic old west mountain town, and the perfect setting for learning wilderness medicine, then getting out to explore the mountains!
Course Description:
Our AWLS curriculum is a mix of didactic and hands-on wilderness medicine training, building the skills to handle a variety of emergencies in austere environments. Our curriculum is developed specifically for medical professionals, guaranteeing a high-caliber level of wilderness medical instruction. Students will bolster their pre-existing medical knowledge with the latest techniques in patient assessment, treatment, and evacuation from remote, wilderness areas.
CME Credit:
With the Advanced Wilderness Life Support certification students earn 20.5 hours of Category 1 CME, as well as Wilderness Medical Society Fellowship credit.
