NWC's self-study now available online

POWELL, Wyo. - “Four years in the making” might sound like a trailer for a hit movie, but it’s actually the preview for Northwest College’s lengthy self-study report. The report is now available online.

NWC launched its self-study process four years ago with intensive research, information gathering and analysis that culminated in the writing of the report.

A five-person team from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) will visit campus in mid-November to see if the college meets the commission’s criteria to remain accredited. Big Horn Basin residents are invited to check out the self-study to see for themselves whether or not NWC is living up to its claims.

HLC accreditation allows NWC credits to transfer to other universities and ensures federal financial aid benefits are available to NWC students.

Questions about the self-study process can be directed to NWC President Paul Prestwich by e-mail or phone at 307-754-6200.
