NWC Rodeo Moves Up To No. 3 AT CNFR

After three days of competition at the College National Finals Rodeo, the Northwest Trappers have moved up to the No. 3 spot in the nation, with sophomore Bubba Boots sitting in the No. 1 spot for all-around with 190 points.

On Monday, Caleb McMillan finished 17th in tie down roping with a time of 12.1 and Boots finished 20th with a time of 13 seconds. Boots also finished eighth in steer wrestling with a time of 5.2 seconds. In the team roping, Boots and Matthew Williams took 15th with a time of 11 seconds.

On Tuesday, Boots finished third in tie down roping in 9.4 seconds and McMillan finished eighth with a time of 10.4 seconds. In steer wrestling, Boots finished 12th in 5.7 seconds, and the team of Boots and Williams claimed 11th with a time of 6.4 seconds. Also competing in team roping were Weston Mann and Emilio Reyna, who finished 27th with a time of 23.1 seconds. 

Tonight’s (Thursday’s) competition will begin at 7 p.m. as will Friday’s and Saturday’s action, with all three nights broadcast on ESPN3.
