Pahaska Tepee offers a variety of cross country ski trails near the East Entrance to Yellowstone. These are groomed trails that take you through the mountains where you can view wildlife, take in the scenery or just get a good workout. Skiing at Pahaska is free to the public and there is a small convience store/cafe for when you are done. To access Pahaska, follow 14 out of Cody up towards Yellowstone National Park. You will reach Pahaska Tepee in about 45 minutes and will know you are there when the road ends. It is the last thing on the road before it is closed. You can park in the lot on th eright hand side. There are also trails on the south side of the highway that will lead you to Sleeping Giant Ski Mountain.
