Yellowstone Summer Music Camp has several partial scholarships that are available for campers.
Please read the requirements below to make sure you are eligible for a particular scholarship before you apply. Applicants who are not eligible will not be considered. Scholarships cannot be used as the $150 deposit, and will only be applied to accounts once the deposit has been paid. Scholarship requirements should be completed no later than June 1. Solo/Small Ensemble Scholarship score sheets or award certificates should be scanned in and emailed or faxed, or mailed to the music camp office no later than June 1.
Additional scholarships are often offered through the local city and school organizations. Check with your local music teachers to see what might be available.

Award Amounts
Tier I Soloists who received
Tier II Soloist who received a II (Excellent) or Small Ensemble which received
Eligibility Requirements: Students who participated as soloists or members of small ensembles and received a high rating at Showalter Music Festival or their District Music Festival during the 2019-2020 school year are eligible to apply. A scholarship is awarded to soloists receiving a rating of I or II, or members of small ensembles receiving a rating of I. Students must submit the form they received at the festival, or print the form and have it signed by their music director. Certificates turned in that were not presented by the Northwest College Music Office will be confirmed with local festival offices before the scholarship is applied to the camp balance. Only one of these scholarships may be used per person, and this scholarship cannot be combined with any other YSMC scholarships except for the Leadership Scholarship.
Award Amount: $225
Eligibility Requirements: Available to students who participated in a 2019-2020 auditioned All-State Choir, All-State Orchestra, or All-State Band. Students participating in non-auditioned groups such as Wyoming All-State Marching Band are not eligible for this scholarship. Confirmation of your acceptance to such a group through Wyoming High School Activities Association (or equivalent in your state) is required before the scholarship will

Eligibility Requirements: Available to high school students who participated in the 2019 North Big Horn Basin District Music Clinic at Northwest College. This award cannot be combined with any other YSMC scholarships except for the Leadership Scholarship.

Award Amounts
Gold Leadership Award- for students attending year 3 or 4 of YSMC = $15
Platinum Leadership Award- for students attending year 5 or beyond of YSMC = $30
Eligibility Requirements: Students who will be entering their third year or greater of YSMC are eligible to apply for this award. To be considered, students should submit a paragraph essay to the music camp office via online form discussing their abilities as a leader. (Contact the music office to see if you are eligible for the award, and for the online link to submit the paragraph essay.) This award may be combined with one other YSMC scholarship award.
