As of January 1, 2014, a major change happened in the testing options for the Wyoming High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC).
The Wyoming Community College Commission approved multiple pathways to earn the Wyoming High School Equivalency Certificate. There are currently two tests available in Wyoming: GED 2014 and HiSET, and both tests are based on the federal College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS). However, both tests are not available everywhere. Northwest College’s Adult Education Program helps prepare students to take and pass the HiSET exam (www.hiset.org).
