AutoCAD Civil 3D Fundamentals class taught June 4-7 at Cody CTD

POWELL, Wyo. - Civil engineers, drafters, designers and technicians can now get AutoCAD-Civil 3D training in Cody instead of traveling to Laramie or Colorado.

The Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development is partnering with CAD-1 to offer an AutoCAD–Civil 3D Fundamentals course Monday-Thursday, June 4-7, at the NWC Cody Center.

The four-day course is geared for professionals who use AutoCAD for working on transportation design, land development or water projects. Participants learn how to organize project data, work with points, create and analyze surfaces, model road corridors and more.

In addition to the user interface, the class also covers: pipe networks, complex grading solutions, quantity takeoff and volume calculations, creating and editing alignments, data shortcuts, Autodesk Vault projects, tools for creating sites, profiles and cross-sections, best practices for managing points, point groups and survey figures, and other fundamental principles.

CAD-1 is an award-winning Autodesk Training Center whose instructors are rated in the top ten in North and South America by Autodesk.

The AutoCAD–Civil 3D Fundamentals course will meet from 8:30-4:30 p.m. and costs $1,295 per person. Participants are required to have at least six months of AutoCAD experience as well as knowledge of basic civil engineering design/drafting techniques and terminology.
