Regional action for the Northwest College women’s basketball team opens Wednesday afternoon in Gillette.
There are a trio of first-round games Tuesday in the opening day of the NJCAA Division I Region IX Tournament. Four games will follow on Wednesday at different venues as Gillette College hosts the five-day tournament.
Otero Junior College, out of La Junta, Colo., is the first-round opponent for the Northwest Lady Trappers. The game starts at 3 p.m. NWC is the sixth seed out of the North Division and Otero is the third seed from the South Division.
If the Lady Trappers win their first round game, they play in the region quarterfinals Thursday at 3 p.m. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday and the Region IX championship game is Saturday night.
For those who plan to attend the games: One-day passes are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, $4 for students and children under 6 free. Tournament passes are also available for $25.
