NWC has excellent transfer agreements with regional colleges. We assist our students with the admissions process when they transfer. Your academic advisor will help you with long-range educational planning.

Do you want to stay in the Big Horn Basin and complete a bachelor's degree?

A few major universities offer all the classes needed to become a certified teacher right in Powell. You will take classes taught in person and online. Your practicum and student teaching classes will also be scheduled close to your home to allow you to continue meeting family and community responsibilities while completing college. To schedule an appointment with an adviser to explore these possibilities, please fill out the Contact us information and we'll reply to you within 24 hours to schedule an appointment.

Do you want to get a job in education while you are still a college student?

NWC has a Child Care Center on campus to care for pre-schoolers while their parents are learning or working at the college. The center hires several college students each semester as aides who plan activities, supervise the children and teach important life skills.

Do you want to make yourself more employable by getting certified to coach?

To get an athletic coaching permit you have to complete courses in "Prevention and care of athletic injuries," "First Aid/CPR," "Coaching and tactics," and the "Scientific Foundations of Coaching," all of which are offered at NWC.
