Western Design Functional Artist Internship Description

Learn and train with some of the most talented craftsmen in the United States. Experience a customized, flexible, differentiated, and career-ready curriculum, while living and working in Northwest Wyoming and being immersed in a design culture influenced by the American West.

Through a partnership with By Western Hands, Northwest College (NWC) matches interns and artisan-mentors for a 2 year internship. While taking NWC courses to earn an Associate of Applied Science in Technical Studies, interns learn on the job how to design and create functional art.

Interested students should review all Internship Standards for the Internship Program before applying - . Students must have written approval from By Western Hands stating that their internship has been approved before they enroll with NWC.
