Academic & Career Advising
Advising Day
Northwest College holds two Advising Days per academic year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Only evening classes are held that day so that everyone has time for an appointment with their advisor (or with the college's Academic & Career Advising Coordinator) before registering for classes for the following semester.
Prep for Advising Day
- Contact your assigned academic advisor to set up an appointment for Advising Day.
- Look up their contact info in the NWC Directory.
- If you don't know who your advisor is or how to request an advising session, email advising@nwc.edu and we'll get you connected.
- You can always change your advisor (and/or your major) if you like.
- Review your program's course requirements in the College Catalog and identify what courses you still need to graduate. Use your program's Degree Worksheet if it helps you stay organized.
- Review your (unofficial) Degree Audit ahead of your advising appointment to see your progress towards graduation.
- Review the upcoming semester's class schedule and select classes you wish to register for next.
- If you are planning to transfer to another Wyoming institution, use WyoTransfer to help evaulate your existing credits.
