Scholarships
At Northwest College, students earn scholarships for a variety of reasons. You can support students through the Trapper Scholarship Program for academic merit or with Activity-Talent awards to help encourage participation on our campus in areas such as Livestock Judging, Forensics, Student Senate and more.
Scholarships go beyond money – they give students a chance work fewer hours so they can focus on classes, spend time with their families, and contribute to our Northwest College community and beyond.
Because of tremendous support from our donors, NWC students receive more student aid and graduate with less debt than those at our peer institutions.

Athletic Scholarships
Scholarships are the lifeblood of Northwest College Athletics and the Athletic Department's single largest annual expense.
Athletic Scholarships are essential to the success of student athletes at Northwest College. They also make up a significant portion of the NWC Athletics operating budget. With fluctuations in funding for NWC, raising scholarship money for student athletes is more important than ever.
The “Trapper Champions” Endowed Scholarship campaign aims to develop an ongoing revenue stream for athletic scholarships so coaches can be confident in having resources to maintain competitive programs.
- Impact team quality and competitiveness — Scholarship funding positively correlates to winning. Our goal is to improve funding opportunities and increase scholarship dollars for our athletes.
- Create opportunity for student athletes — The dream of playing college sports is a powerful motivator for students, many of whom are the first from their family to attend college. Above their passion for the sport, Trapper student athletes earn scholarships to attend NWC and earn a degree. Access to education opens additional doors for student athletes allowing them to become successful in life as well as on the playing field.

for NWC student athletes to excel both athletically and academically. Together, we
can preserve the tradition and spirit of Trapper Athletics and help build student

Stethoscopes for Students
The "Stethoscopes for Students" program allows Northwest College alumni and friends to purchase a stethoscope for each incoming nursing and paramedic student. With your support, we can continue a tradition at Northwest College and provide a helping hand to these future healthcare professionals.
Since 2019, Stethoscopes for Students has launched the careers of over 200 students by providing their first stethoscope.
Your support enhances the education of the next generation of highly qualified nurses and paramedics who are vital contributors to our local healthcare system. 100% of all donations goes directly towards equipment for students.

At Northwest College, we believe that music is a form of magic. Music lifts spirits, joins hearts and minds, and spreads joy. When music unites students and communities like ours, magic happens. NWC’s students always get top-notch instruction in music theory, performance, history, technology and more. Your support helps make beautiful music happen at Northwest College.
