Trapper volleyball is continuing to add to its 2022 signing class, as Northwest added middle blocker Keaton Lynn from Bozeman, Montana, and outside hitter Megan Pannell from Snow College.

Lynn joins the Trappers after being named second team All-Conference for Gallatin High School in Bozeman.

In her senior season, Lynn finished with 16 aces, 125 kills, 56 blocks and 12 digs.

“I believe she flew under everyone’s radar, and she is truly a diamond in the rough,” Trapper head coach Scott Keister said. “She is physical, fast, plays high above the net and brings a lot of passion and fire to the court.”

Pannell comes to the Trappers as a transfer student from Snow College in Utah.

Snow won its regional championship the past two seasons. Pannell brings national tournament experience to the Trappers, as Snow placed runners-up in the spring 2021 season and placed seventh this past season.

Pannell is originally from Sugar-Salem High School in Rexburg, Idaho, where she won two state titles in 2017 and 2019 and was named first team All-State for 3A volleyball in 2019.

Pannell is using her extra COVID eligible year in order to transfer to Northwest.

One reason for joining is that her sister, Kim Pannell, signed for the Trappers back in November.

“Megan was an unexpected addition to our team,” Keister said. “After her sister signed with us, she reached out with a desire to use her COVID year and join us here at Northwest – not only to be able to play with her sister, but also help our program continue its path of returning to national recognition.”

Keister said he expects that Kim Pannell will bring a lot of leadership and maturity to a team that loses more than half its lineup from this past season.
