The collegiate rodeo season kicks off with the Trapper Rodeo this Friday and Saturday at Stampede Park in Cody.
“This is the best recruiting we’ve had since Covid,” coach Del Nose said. “I’m excited about the guys coming in. They’ve got the grades and the ability, just getting them over the freshman jitters is going to be the big thing.”
Nose is hopeful for the improvement of the Trappers this season, with the program welcoming eight teams and around 280 student athletes from the Big Sky Region to the rodeo.
The rodeo will start at 7 p.m. both nights, and the slack rounds will begin at 9 a.m. on both days. The rodeos will be scored separately.
