Northwest College Center For Training and Development provides superior quality training programs for communities and businesses throughout the Big Horn Basin.

Imagine being able to update your professional skills, prepare for a new career, or even learn just for fun while in the comfort of your own home or office…no class schedule, no babysitter, no traffic! The Northwest College Center for Training and Development offers FOUR types of online learning options that allow you to learn where you want and when you want.

None of our online courses require you to be online at a specific time. Some of our courses start anytime, while others have specific monthly start dates.

Some courses require textbooks, software, or other materials - please see individual course listings for specific information.

All of our online courses offer CEU credits and many of them have been approved for PTSB credits.

   It's cold outside! Hopefully Spring is just around the corner, but for now, stay warm while you learn something new! Our spring classes are ready to go - just waiting on you!

Get your staff trained in First Aid and CPR for the Work Site. March 8th in Powell and March 7th in Cody. Other training for staff includes Coaching for Performance, February 20th in Cody; and Customer Service Basics, May 10th in Cody - a must for any business!

Join us for a Peace Corps Informational Presentation. Max Miller served as a teacher in a small Dugarra village in the southwest corner of Burkina Faso in Africa. Max will share his experiences with the Peace Corps in a complimentary presentation on February 21st in Cody. Please preregister as we will be serving Bissap Juice - a Hibiscus-based drink - and need to know how much to have on hand!

Crisis Intervention Team Training will be held in Powell March 12th through 16th. Interacting with individuals who experience mental health problems can be one of the most challenging aspects of law enforcement work. This training will focus on recognition of mental health problems, de-escalation techniques and tactical considerations for interacting with people experiencing a mental health problem. Crisis Intervention Team training (CIT) is based on the Memphis Model and has been tailored to meet the needs and interests of law enforcement agencies in Wyoming.

Non-Violent Crisis Intervention offered in Powell on March 16th and 23rd will equip your staff with proven strategies for safely diffusing anxious, hostile, or violent behavior at the earliest possible stage. Learn how to promote a climate of care, welfare, safety, and security for your staff and those they connect with in their daily work.
