50th Annual Showalter Music Festival

The Northwest College Music Department hosts the 50th Annual Showalter Music Festival for brass, woodwind, percussion, guitar, piano, violin and voice students on Saturday, February 1st. The festival is for grades five through eight, each entry  receives a 6-minute performance slots. Students must be registered by their school/studio. The Entry fee is $12 per group/solo. Scholarships are awarded to the Yellowstone Summer Music Camp in June! 

Outstanding performers from the festival will present a free concert at the end of all performances in the Nelson Performing Arts Center Auditorium at Northwest College in Powell. For more information and to register, please visit the Showalter Festival page here.

The festival is named in memory of Victor Showalter, a former music professor at NWC, who started the tradition in 1975.
