Since the early 1980s, the Northwest College Board of Trustees has purchased art from student fine art and photography exhibitions. Those purchases make up the core of the College's permanent collection. The art department also holds a collection of work purchased from, or gifted by students, alumni, and visiting artists. In addition, the Northwest College Foundation receives donations of art.

A reception for this exhibition takes place Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Cabre Building's Northwest Gallery. A brief history of the collections will be presented with a question and answer opportunity for participants. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.

Works from these collections are displayed across the Powell campus, the Cody Center, the Nelson House, the Intercultural House, and the A. L. Mickelson Field Station.

The exhibition is on display from Oct. 16 to Nov. 17. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m.

This exhibition highlights small scale public art from the collections.
