Trapper Heads To Augusta

Recent Northwest College men’s basketball player Davion McAdam is headed to Augusta, Georgia, to join the NCAA Division II Augusta University Jaguars.

McAdam had a short pit stop at Northwest last season after playing for two years at Casper College, using his year of Covid eligibility to play for the Trappers.

The gamble paid off for McAdam, who was named to the Region IX first team in his lone year with the Trappers.

He shot efficiently from the field, finishing at 47% from the field, 37.2% from 3-point range while also shooting 79.3% from the free throw line.

He averaged 21.9 points per game for the Trappers over 30 games after averaging only 5.5 over 41 games at Casper College.

McAdam will head to an Augusta program that finished 27-6 for the season and lost in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament after being regular season co-champions and Peach Belt Conference Tournament champions.

He is listed as a junior on the Jaguars website but will have competition in the backcourt with four returning guards from last year’s team listed on the roster.
