POWELL, Wyo. - Big Horn Basin businesses can apply until Dec. 7 for grants from the Wyoming Workforce Development Training Fund to attend a Management Meets Leadership training program offered in Cody beginning in January.

The second annual Management Meets Leadership series will convene from 6-9 p.m. on seven consecutive Tuesdays beginning Jan. 8. It is tailored for first-time supervisors, entrepreneurs, and those who want to move into management positions or are already in management positions but received minimal or no training.

The series features a lineup of instructors who will address a variety of topics, including workforce profiles and associated leadership styles, project planning, strategic planning, performance enhancement, cost analysis, profit sharing and beyond-the-box thinking.

Classes will be held at the Northwest College Centers for Training and Development in Cody. Cost is $325 per person.

Business owners and their employees may be eligible for Wyoming Workforce Development Training Fund grants that could pay 60 percent of the cost. Grant requests must be submitted no later than Friday, Dec. 7.

The NWC Centers for Training and Development are happy to assist individuals with the grant application process.
