Command Spanish workshop registration due March 23

P O W E L L, W y o. - In response to requests by area business for help in communicating with Spanish-speaking employees, the Northwest College Cody Center for Training and Development will offer Command Spanish in two industry-tailored classes.

Command Spanish for the restaurant industry is offered from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 4; and Command Spanish for the hotel/motel industry meets from 9 a.m. to 4 p m. Friday, April 27. Advance registration is required to ensure enough class materials. The registration deadline for the April 4 class is Friday, March 23; deadline for the April 27 class is Wednesday, April 18.

Researched and designed to focus on the most-needed phrases for each specific industry, the classes target those key phrases that make critical communication between supervisors and Spanish-speaking employees and patrons possible.

Instructor Cary Hyde will guide the group in basic pronunciation and practice of 20-40 phrases most crucial to each industry. Participants leave with a reference manual and CD for quick reviews.

Each class is $70, which includes the manual and CD.
