P O W E L L,  W y o. - The Trapper Booster Club is pitching a double header in September for Northwest College Trapper fans.

Last year's Trapper Tailgate splits into two events this year: a Sports Rendezvous dinner and auction on Tuesday, Sept. 16, followed by a family-oriented tailgate party before the first home volleyball game Monday, Sept. 22.

Trapper fans will get to meet the NWC coaches and their teams at the Sept. 16 Sports Rendezvous, plus enjoy a formal dinner and vie for NFL memorabilia during a live auction. Highlights include Denver Bronco tickets (Denver vs. Tampa Bay, on Oct. 5), gourmet four-course dinner, Baltimore Ravens regalia and a wine and cheese basket. Additional items will be put up for bid in a silent auction.

The Sports Rendezvous gets underway in Cabre Gym at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour. Reservations must be made before Tuesday, Sept. 9. Admission is $15 per person or $25 for couples. To reserve a spot, e-mail Robbi Welch or call (307) 754-6034.

The Sept. 22 Trapper Tailgate event is a family affair, complete with upbeat music, volleyball contests, prizes, hot dogs and cookies. It begins at 5:30 p.m. as a warm-up for the Trapper Volleyball Team's first home game of the season at 7 p.m. against Dawson Community College.

Participants will be the first to try out Cabre Gym's new stadium seating and get the best seats to watch Flavia Siqueira coach her very first Trapper home game.

Admission to the Trapper Tailgate is free, but a hot dog plate with chips and a cookie costs $2.
