POWELL, WYOMING – After smashing records in 2024, Northwest College Giving Day returns for its fifth consecutive year on Thursday, March 20, giving alumni and supporters an opportunity to contribute to the immediate goals and long-term future of the college. This year’s 24-hour event begins at noon on March 20, and concludes at noon on Friday, March 21.
New for this year is the Giving Day Triple Play, which gives donors the opportunity to have their gift matched not once, but twice thanks to the State of Wyoming and several other generous donors. That means qualifying gifts will have three times the impact while matching funds last. Simply designate your gift toward one of these five institutional priorities:
Scholarships – Impact student lives in a very personal way by providing scholarship funds enabling students greater access to college and opportunity after graduation.
Athletic Scholarships – Boost Trapper Athletic scholarships, so coaches can be confident in having the critical resources they need for NWC teams to stand out and remain competitive.
Career & Technical Education Scholarships – Drive economic opportunity by providing access to workforce-ready education options like plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, CDL and EMT.
Mental Health Outreach – Help enhance campus outreach activities to build community and create new wellness programs for students.
Academic Program Development – Support NWC by providing funds that allow the College to update curriculum, provide professional training, and to help ensure programs are aligned with industry needs and state-of-the-art instruction.
Donors can contribute by giving online at nwc.edu/givingday, or by mailing a check to the NWC Foundation (231 West 6th Street, Powell, Wyoming, 82435).
Since it was first held in 2021, Giving Day has raised more than half a million dollars to support Northwest College, including last year’s record total of $175,735. With more than 1,500 gifts over the last four years, Giving Day receives hundreds of donations each year with an active group of alumni and supporters also providing matching gifts.
The annual event is coordinated by the Northwest College Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which secures and manages private gifts for Northwest College, supporting student opportunity and enhancing the College’s educational offerings. Through the Alumni Association, the office also facilitates connections with NWC’s 24,000+ alumni around the world. To learn more, visit nwcollegefoundation.org.
