POWELL, Wyo. - Greg Hall, president of Apple Energy Group based in Austin, Texas, will be in Powell Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26 and 27, to conduct two half-day Green Collar Jobs Workshops.

Hall will talk about the emerging green industry and the green collar job opportunities that are already available. He'll discuss job and training possibilities in weatherization, energy efficiency, solar and small wind projects, as well as President Obama's "Cash for Caulkers."

"I try to make this more than informative and educational," Hall said. "I want to motivate people as well. There's a whole new world of opportunities in the green industry, but many of the jobs require specialized training. It's important to know what direction you're interested in, whether it's energy auditing or installing wind turbines, so you get the right training to launch a successful career or add value to your existing business."

Hall will deliver the same four-hour workshop on both days in Room 70 of the Fagerberg Building at Northwest College. The Friday session starts at 1 p.m., and the Saturday start time is 9 a.m.

The Green Collar Jobs Workshop regularly costs $89 to attend, but the Northwest College Center for Training and Development is discounting the price to $25. Additional discounts are available for multiple attendees from the same company.

More information and an electronic registration form are available online by following the "Training Schedule" link, e-mailing the Northwest College Center for Training and Development, or calling 307-754-6062.
