Juried photo show opens March 30

P O W E L L, W y o. - Northwest College's Juried Student Photo Show opens with an artists' reception at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, in Northwest Gallery.

The show is an annual event featuring work by students enrolled in the NWC Photographic Communication Program. It contains representative samples of the photography career options offered at Northwest, including photojournalism, portraiture, fashion photography, and product and advertising photography.

It was juried by NWC photography faculty members Garry Bakken, Anthony Polvere, Craig Satterlee, J.L. Wooden, and by Rick Rivard, NWC's photo studio and lab manager.

During the opening reception, the NWC Trustees' Purchase Awards will be announced and students represented in the show will be on hand to talk about their works.

The show hangs through Friday, April 13. Northwest Gallery, located in the Cabre Building, is open from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7-9 p.m. Thursdays. Admission is free.
