Juried student art show opens April 24 at NWC

P O W E L L, W y o. - Northwest Gallery in Powell will end its 2006-07 season with the annual Juried Student Art Show, opening Tuesday, April 24, with a 7:30 p.m. artists' reception.

The exhibit features two- and three-dimensional works in a variety of media created by Northwest College students in their studio art and graphic design classes during the 2006-07 academic year.

The Northwest College Board of Trustees traditionally purchases works from the show for the college's permanent collection. Purchase award winners are announced at the opening reception.

Submissions to the 2007 show were juried by David Hiltner, executive director of the Red Lodge Clay Center in Red Lodge, Mont., and former art faculty at Northwest.

The student exhibit hangs in the gallery (located in the Cabre Building) through Saturday, May 12. Northwest Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
